BENTSAI publishes manufacturer-level customisation capabilities for thermal inkjet cartridges that incorporate a printhead. A project may involve the cartridge structure, printhead integration, ink formulation, filling process, electrical contacts and chip or identification requirements.

Important scope clarification

This is a BENTSAI manufacturer capability, not a standard off-the-shelf service performed by PTS in Malaysia. A request must pass technical and commercial review before any specification, sample or delivery can be confirmed.

Information required for evaluation

• Printer or print-engine architecture and intended application
• Required ink colour, substrate and environmental conditions
• Electrical interface, contact arrangement and cartridge dimensions
• Expected print quality, coverage and operating duty
• Chip, firmware or identification requirements
• Estimated quantity, sample stage and target schedule
• Required test method, documentation and acceptance criteria

Compatibility is not automatic

A cartridge that fits physically is not necessarily electrically, chemically or digitally compatible. Ink formulation, drive conditions, chip/firmware configuration, seals, storage and the intended substrate must be assessed together. Customers should not assume that a custom or alternative cartridge is approved for a printer without written confirmation and testing.

Commercial and technical conditions

Feasibility, prototype cost, tooling, intellectual-property terms, minimum order quantity (MOQ), testing, certifications or supporting documents, lead time and final specifications are determined case by case by BENTSAI and the relevant parties. Published reference values are not a quotation or a universal specification.

Role of PTS in Malaysia

PTS Technology can collect initial project information from customers in Malaysia and coordinate the enquiry with BENTSAI. Standard BENTSAI cartridges supplied by PTS should be selected according to the exact Malaysian printer model, chip/firmware configuration, ink type and tested substrate.
