Customer Sample Test: Variable Data Printing on Spouted Packaging with BENTSAI 6205

PTS Technology recently supported an actual sample printing test using the BENTSAI 6205 handheld inkjet printer.

The test was carried out on white flexible packaging fitted with a plastic screw spout. A positioning guide was used to help the operator maintain a steadier printing path while applying variable information to the sample.

What Was Tested?

  • BENTSAI 6205 handheld inkjet printer
  • White flexible spouted packaging supplied as an actual sample
  • A positioning guide for improved alignment and controlled movement
  • Variable information such as dates, batch numbers, serial numbers or internal reference codes

Why Use a Positioning Guide?

Flexible packaging can move, wrinkle or shift during handheld printing. A suitable guide can support more consistent positioning and help the operator move the printer along a controlled path. The appropriate method still depends on the shape, print area and handling condition of the customer's packaging.

Actual Sample Testing Is Essential

Ink adhesion and print quality can be affected by the packaging material, surface coating, cleanliness, moisture, oil, curvature, ink selection, printing distance and operator movement. For this reason, PTS recommends testing the customer's actual production sample before purchase or production use.
