BENTSAI B85 Wide-Format Handheld and Inline TIJ Printer

The BENTSAI B85 is a thermal inkjet (TIJ) coding and marking printer for handheld or inline use. Its maximum documented print height is 92 mm. The system uses four modular 25.4 mm print heads and supports stitched printing or independent cartridge use, depending on the application.

Print content and code formats

The B85 supports text, numbers, images, logos, dates, counters, database content, barcodes and 2D codes. Supported image formats are JPG, JPEG, PNG and BMP.

Ink and substrate guidance

Select the cartridge according to the surface being coded. Water-based cartridges are documented for porous and semi-porous substrates such as paper, corrugated box, wood, fibreboard and textile. Solvent-based cartridges are documented for semi-porous and non-porous substrates such as plastic, glass, metal plate, aluminium foil and cable. Always test the actual production substrate and code before routine use.

Operation, connectivity and accessories

The B85 uses a Linux system with 4G embedded memory and a 5-inch HD touch screen. Documented ports include USB-A, USB-C, power, sensor, beacon and encoder ports. The standard accessories listed by BENTSAI are four ink cartridges, one U-disk, one positioning plate, one AC/DC power adaptor and one photocell sensor.

The 6000 mAh battery pack uses four 18650 lithium-ion batteries and is documented for up to 8 hours of operating time. Language availability varies by region.
