BENTSAI 6205 & 6210 Handheld Inkjet Printers Malaysia | 12.7mm/25.4mm TIJ Coding
Specifications
Details
Quick answer: Choose the BENTSAI 6205 series when you need a compact 12.7 mm print height, or the 6210 series when you need up to 25.4 mm. Choose a B model for handheld printing only, or a BL model when the same printer must also support sensor-triggered inline coding.
The BENTSAI BT-HH6205B, BT-HH6205BL, BT-HH6210B and BT-HH6210BL are portable thermal inkjet (TIJ) coding printers for Malaysian factories, warehouses, contract packers and SMEs. They can create text, numbers, production dates, expiry dates, batch codes, counters, serial numbers, logos, barcodes and 2D codes directly at the work area.
Which BENTSAI 6205 or 6210 model should you choose?
| Model | Maximum print height | Operating mode | Practical starting point |
|---|---|---|---|
| BT-HH6205B | 12.7 mm / 0.5 inch | Handheld only | Mobile coding with a compact code area |
| BT-HH6205BL | 12.7 mm / 0.5 inch | Handheld and inline | Mobile use plus sensor-triggered conveyor coding |
| BT-HH6210B | 25.4 mm / 1 inch | Handheld only | Larger mobile codes and up to 10 print lines |
| BT-HH6210BL | 25.4 mm / 1 inch | Handheld and inline | Larger codes with mobile and conveyor flexibility |
The best model depends on the real code size, packaging material, operator movement and whether products are stationary or moving. Test the actual substrate and message before confirming a model.
Print dates, batch numbers, barcodes, QR codes and logos
The series supports text, numbers, images, logos, dates, counters, database content, barcodes and 2D codes. Supported image formats are JPG, JPEG, PNG and BMP. Barcode formats listed by BENTSAI are Code 128, Code 39, EAN-8, EAN-13, UPC-A, ITF 2 of 5, UPC-E and ITF-14. Supported 2D formats are QR Code, GS1 QR Code and GS1 Data Matrix Code.
Typical Malaysian applications include coding on corrugated cartons, outer packaging, plastic containers, glass, metal plates, aluminium foil, cables, wood, fibreboard and textiles. Suitability depends on choosing the correct ink and confirming adhesion, drying and handling performance on the customer’s actual material.
Water-based or solvent-based ink: match the ink to the substrate
- Water-based ink: intended for porous and semi-porous materials such as paper, corrugated cartons, wood, fibreboard and textiles.
- Solvent-based ink: intended for semi-porous and non-porous materials such as plastic, glass, metal plates, aluminium foil and cables.
BENTSAI lists black, cyan, magenta, yellow and green for water-based cartridges, and black, cyan, magenta, yellow, white, green and invisible options for solvent-based cartridges. Colour and cartridge availability can vary. PTS should confirm the selected ink for the required material and operating conditions before order placement.
Handheld mobility or inline conveyor coding
The B models are designed for handheld operation. The BL models add a sensor port and can be used in handheld or inline mode with a photocell sensor. Inline suitability requires a stable product path, consistent print distance and adequate space for the printer, sensor and mounting arrangement.

Battery and power options
BENTSAI specifies two 2600 mAh 18650 lithium-ion batteries and an operating time of up to 16 hours. Actual operating time depends on printing frequency, message content, settings, battery condition and the working environment. B models use USB-C 5V/2A battery charging. BL models use DC 9V/2A battery charging or power supply and are supplied with the inline-oriented power and sensor connections listed in the manufacturer documentation.
Cartridge-based TIJ maintenance routine
Thermal inkjet cartridges integrate the ink supply and printhead. When the cartridge is replaced, the printer receives the printhead integrated into that cartridge. During longer idle periods, follow the manual: remove the cartridge when appropriate, fit its protective cap correctly and store it in the recommended position. If print quality changes, inspect and clean the nozzle plate using the approved procedure instead of using sharp objects or unapproved chemicals.

Manufacturer maximums are not a guaranteed result for every job. Achievable output depends on the selected model, resolution, message, ink, substrate, operator technique or line setup, and production conditions.
What is included?
BENTSAI lists an ink cartridge, USB drive, detachable auxiliary roller and positioning plate with the series. B-model documentation lists a USB charging cable. BL-model documentation lists an AC/DC power adaptor and photocell sensor. Confirm the final accessory list with PTS for the exact model and package ordered.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between BENTSAI 6205 and 6210?
The 6205 series prints up to 12.7 mm and supports 600 or 300 dpi. The 6210 series prints up to 25.4 mm at 300 dpi.
What is the difference between B and BL models?
B models are handheld-only. BL models support handheld and inline operation and include the sensor interface required for photocell-triggered printing.
Can these printers print expiry dates and batch numbers?
Yes. They support dates, numbers, text, counters, barcodes, QR codes, Data Matrix codes and logos. The factory must still approve and verify the correct message for each job.
Can the 6205 or 6210 print on plastic, glass and metal?
Solvent-based ink is intended for many semi-porous and non-porous materials, but the actual substrate should be tested for adhesion, drying and normal handling before production approval.
Which model is suitable for conveyor coding?
The 6205BL and 6210BL support inline operation. A site or application check is still needed to confirm product guidance, sensor position, print distance, message size and line conditions.
