The BENTSAI BT-HH6210BL is a portable thermal inkjet (TIJ) printer for batch numbers, manufacturing or expiry dates, serial numbers, text, logos, QR codes and barcodes. Its 25.4 mm (1-inch) printhead provides a larger code height than the 6205BL. The BL model supports both handheld coding and inline coding with a photoelectric sensor, making it suitable for Malaysian manufacturers, packaging operations, warehouses and SMEs that need flexible on-demand marking.

Handheld printing and automatic conveyor coding

The BT-HH6210BL can be used as a handheld coder or connected to a photoelectric sensor for automatic coding on a conveyor. The sensor detects an item and triggers the print. For inline operation, confirm the product gap, print position, print direction, line speed and available clearance before installation.

Ink and substrate selection

Select the cartridge according to the production surface. BENTSAI documents water-based ink for porous and semi-porous substrates including paper, corrugated boxes, wood, fibreboard and textile. Solvent-based ink is documented for semi-porous and non-porous substrates including plastic, glass, metal plates, aluminium foil and cables.

Documented water-based colour options are Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Green. Documented solvent-based colour options are Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, White, Green and Invisible. Keep an ink throw distance of 2–5 mm between the nozzle plate and the printed item. Test the exact substrate, code design and drying requirement before production.

Operation and cartridge care

The BT-HH6210BL has a 4.3-inch HD touch screen, a FREERTOS system and 128M embedded memory. Its battery configuration is two 2600 mAh 18650 lithium-ion batteries, documented for up to 16 hours of operating time. The BL model also supports a DC 9V/2A power supply for inline use.

TIJ cartridges integrate the ink supply and printhead. When the printer will not be used for an extended period, remove the cartridge and fit its protective cap in accordance with the manufacturer’s care guidance. Carry out a print trial after changing the ink type or production substrate.
